• 1,400 MW wind, 200 MW solar, and 300 MW of long-duration storage
• A 300 MW (30 GWh) Form Energy iron-air battery — the largest multi-day battery system announced globally
• $50M toward grid reliability through Capacity*Connect
• Full cost responsibility by the large load customer
• Protection for existing ratepayers
That’s not just growth — that’s disciplined growth.
At a time when AI, cloud computing, and digital services are accelerating demand, resilience in energy has to move in parallel. Long-duration storage, diversified generation, and intentional infrastructure investment are what allow us to meet new load without compromising reliability or affordability.
Minnesota is demonstrating that economic development and grid stability don’t have to compete. With thoughtful regulatory oversight and smart partnerships, they can reinforce each other.
